You know what I love? Fan art of my characters. You know what you love? Cold hard cash! What's the best way to achieve both those things? Why, by hosting a contest of course!
That's right, for the first time in many, many years, I am hosting a "Draw My OC's" contest with cash prizes! The characters in question are my dear little deer monsters, Iso and Nia.

Objective

The objective is very simple...

Draw either Iso, Nia, or both characters together.

You can submit a drawing of one character, or both characters. It's just that easy.

Characters

Here is some background information on the characters you can choose from.

Iso

Iso is the younger twin. Growing up, her huge, unusual eyes and tendency to stare often made her peers uncomfortable. Rather than feel bad about this, Iso embraced it and made a game out of unnerving those who show the tiniest bit of fear towards her. Unfortunately, she's become so used to spooking people that she doesn't know what to do when someone (e.g. men) show any sort of affection towards her. She becomes rather flustered, and may even shout abusive language (Typical tsundere ) She specializes in illusion magic (most often used to create horrific hallucinations for her "victims".)

Nia

Nia is the older twin. Despite her monstrous appearance, she is usually rather sweet and easygoing. Nia tends to enjoy her favorite things in excess: She has numerous pets ( little round cat-like creatures), enjoys far more cakes and sweets than she should, and spends a lot of time *ahem* in the bedroom. Nia has the ability to conjure an Abyss, an amorphous blob capable of transporting herself (and others) to different locations, and even between dimensions.

Rules

Draw either one or both of the characters.

When you are completed, upload your work to your deviantArt gallery and send me a NOTE with your entry.  If you leave it on my front page I may miss it.

You can enter more than once but you can only win one prize.

It must be 100% your own work (meaning no collaborations or bases).  

No traces, copies or reproductions, or else I will rain fire and brimstone down upon you

It has to be a work made for this contest.  This means the picture needs to be submitted to your gallery after this journal's post date.  It also means that you cannot enter a picture I commissioned as it was not made for this contest.

Prizes

First Place: $50 USD

I will pay this out through PayPal.  If you do not have PayPal I will give you the equivalent amount of points (4000).

Second Place: $30 USD

I will pay this out through PayPal.  If you do not have PayPal I will give you the equivalent amount of points (2400).

Third Place: $15 USD

I will pay this out through PayPal.  If you do not have PayPal I will give you the equivalent amount of points (1200).

Runner-Up (x3): 400 Points

There will be three Runner-Up prizes given, each will receive 400 points.

Please note that the amount of entries I receive will determine the number of prizes I give out. If I only receive a few entries, then I may only give out First and Second place prizes.

Judging

I will choose the winners based on which ones I consider my favorites. Yes, I will take technical aspects into consideration, but really, it will boil down to which ones I like best.

FAQ

Q: Can my entry be digital or traditional?
A: Yes, you can create your entry in whatever medium you choose. You don't get "extra points" for using one or an other.

Q: Does it have to be colored (or full-body, or anime-styled, etc)?
A: Draw your entry however you see fit. Want to draw a full-body, full-color drawing with an intricate background? Go for it! Want to draw a chibi or a simple head shot? That's cool too! Want to draw a hyper-realistic portrait? A-okay in my book! I'm not going to tell you what to draw. I'm interested in seeing your creativity

Q: Do I have to draw both Iso and Nia?
A: No, if you would prefer to only draw one of the girls, that's totally fine. You can draw just one of the girls OR you can draw both of the girls together.

Q: Can I draw them with one of my own characters?
A: Sure! If you'd like to include one of your own OC's in your entry, go right ahead.

Q: Can I change their outfits?
A: Absolutely! I love dress-up just as much as the next woman

Q: Can I enter more than once?
A: Yes, enter as often as you'd like. Just remember though that you can only win once.

Q: Can I give my prize to someone else?
A: Yes. When I award the prizes, I will ask the winners if they'd like to keep their prize or donate it to someone else.
